i.Lab ventures Contraline, Critical Flow and 1Degree will be exhibiting in the Darden School's i.Lab booth at the 2017 SXSW Trade Show in Austin, TX. A meet & greet event will be held at the booth (#1992/#1994) on Sunday, March 12 at 4:00pm featuring Virginia wine and i.Lab venture goodies. If you will be at the show, please stop by! (Note: The trade show ends on March 15 at 2:00pm.
c-e2 is a casual, caffeine fueled gathering of learning for entrepreneurs at all stages of venture creation. Get inspired, meet fellow entrepreneurs, share lessons learned, and become a part of Charlottesville’s vibrant and growing entrepreneurial ecosystem.
The schedule will include networking over coffee, a pitch from a new startup and lessons learned from an expert entrepreneur.
This is a free event open to the entire entrepreneurship community.
You're invited to the i.Lab Incubator Ventures Showcase, which will feature pitches from 2016 i.Lab at UVA Incubator companies. Learn about innovative concepts being launched in Charlottesville – with cocktail in hand! After the pitch session, Incubator companies will welcome insights and feedback. The Batten Institute for Entrepreneurship and Innovation invites you to a captivating conversation with founder, Raymond Lambert (MBA '87), as he shares his entrepreneurial journey building All Jokes Aside and its eventual closing. Mr. Lambert’s journey was chronicled in the documentary, Phunny Business, which the Batten Institute will screen at the event, and his new book, All Jokes Aside: Standup Comedy Is a Phunny Business. He is currently serving as an executive producer on a new film, Maya Angelou: And Still I Rise, a documentary that premiered at the Sundance Film Festival this January.
